Would love to find some people to share rides with this winter. I have 4X4 truck that will get us up the mountain and will usually bring my dog, River, if I'm driving. Also, would like to hook up with people who have avalanche training and equipment to learn more about hiking up some of the passes. Just found out that A-Basin is open-limited terrain I'm sure, but a good warm-up for the season. Planning to head up this Sunday if anyone is interested and maybe hike up Loveland Pass for a few runs. My work schedule is flexible so I'm also looking to head up on some week days as well.
If anyone is interested, 36 hours of Keystone is December 1-3. It's about a $100 for the weekend which includes pass and condo. I did it last year for the first time and it was a blast- 20 to 30 if us headed up and shared rooms, food, drinks and other party favors for the weekend. Basically, you have teams of 4 people and someone from your team has to complete a run starting at 9am on Friday morning through 9pm on Saturday night. Bring your costumes for the night runs!

Re: Winter Snowboard/Ski Ride Share
Thu, October 4, 2007 - 8:53 PMHey, I'm always looking for new people to board with and share rides with. I also have Fridays off so would love to go up when it's a little less crowded. I have the 5 mountain pass this year. I don't have avalanche training. Every year I keep saying I'm going to take a class and learn, but never get around to it. Interested in taking a class?

Re: Winter Snowboard/Ski Ride Share
Sat, October 6, 2007 - 2:48 PMI am always looking for people to partner up with.
I mainly do backcountry riding.
I have the gear and the avy training.
I'd love to meet some people that also have the gear, training.
For some safe BC riding (or skiing if you prefer)
I mainly do weekends (out of necessity) but I do the occassional weekday.

Sat, October 6, 2007 - 2:50 PMAnd whoa... Abasin is already open?!
I bet that's pretty thin!
And Loveland pass too.
I might venture up next weekend if the snow is sticking.
and I bet Abasin will be pretty crowded too! -

They were great, but obviously no longer around.

Re: Winter Snowboard/Ski Ride Share
Tue, November 27, 2007 - 6:22 PMIt's late November 2007.
I'm in Fort Collins this season, as opposed to Telluride. Starting to feel the "It's ski season and the lifts are 2.5+ hours away" thing. It stings a little. To help ease the pain, I'm going to purchase the A-Basin, Keystone, Breck. pass within the next three weeks.
I'm curious, who in this tribe lives in Northern Coloroado ( Fort Collins ) and plans to make regular trips to Summit Co. this season ( '07 - '08 )? I'd like to line up some rides, split the cost of gas, etc.
Thanks,
Charles -

Re: Winter Snowboard/Ski Ride Share
Sun, February 3, 2008 - 7:55 PMWe also live in Fort Collins. I can't board this season due to a car accident injury, but my fiance got the Breck, A basin, Keystone pass. He is always looking for someone to share gas with. Let us know if you would like to go riding!
